Naudé Allegretti Prates

There is nothing like a new toy. When you were young, it was a bicycle, or a pair of skates, or a favorite book that got you pumped. But now you’re all grown up, and it’s a camera.

It’s there on the doorstep when you get home from work, and you dig it out of the box, tearing the cardboard every which way, scattering those annoying styrofoam peanuts across the kitchen floor, tossing the instruction booklet onto the counter for later.

It’s red! A gorgeous shade of red, and within seconds, you’ve got an idea for a portrait of the very cool girl next door. She’s got the perfect sprocket-print shirt, the perfect matching wrist band, the perfect lo-fi, medium format tats. And when she opens the door, you hand her the camera, and she knows exactly what to with it. Esplendido!

This girl is Holga-wonderful.
