Out there, between the clouds and the turf, between the cool wind and the warm sun, between the weary legs and the lively spirit, between the going up and the coming down, between a father’s pride and a daughter’s desire to please, she finds a place that’s hers alone. How she got there, why she got there, doesn’t matter—she’s there and she occupies that space and moment so completely and organically that for an immeasurable time she’s inseparable from the clouds and the turf and the wind and the sun.
