Giulio

An image of a man, he stands before a laptop.

His fingertips rest on the mouse.

Is he about to watch the video of a stretchy woman doing Surya Namaskar accompanied by her cat, Valentino Rossi’s burnout, or maybe the cows who like jazz?

Is he reading the news? The Italian government’s vote on an austerity package. The French ex-president found guilty of embezzling. The U.S. military leaving Iraq. The elderly Englishman who lost his way, and drove around the London Orbital for two days.

Is he going to press send? “I miss you, every night I wake at 3 a.m. expecting to find you lying next to me,” or ” You can keep your job. I would rather work for nothing than be valued so little.” Perhaps just three words “Tierra del Fuego”.

Is it Facebook, Flickr or Twitter. Is it work or pleasure? His face tells us nothing. Look closely at the laptop screen, closer, top left…
