It seems impossible that irregular blocks of ice can stand stacked up like this, forming a bridge that would rival the Ponte dei Sospiri in Venice. An ice bridge, solid water suspended over a lake of liquid ice.
It seems impossible that ice can can form into frozen rivers that flow, advancing metre by metre to their final destination where they topple and crack and fall into a pool of water, or sometimes straight into the sea.
It seems impossible that glaciers can talk but stand on one for a while and you will hear it creak and groan, whispering to you of its longing for open water where it will break off and cascade into the sea.
