If your home is on an island, at the edge of an ocean, in a temperate zone, you grow to expect rain. Rain is the dominant feature of winters when skies are mouldy with greyness. Rain is a relentless guest in summertime, it gatecrashes every bouncy-castle birthday party, it hurls over Friday night barbecues.

But those people who made their homes on such islands at the edge of an ocean, have learned how to make world famous beers and artful liquors with all that rain water. Centuries of moisture in the air have given the women heartbreakingly beautiful complexions… and the gardens, well you’ll never see the like elsewhere.

Do not think of this as an image of roses sprinkled with raindrops, this is an image of raindrops with incidental roses. Look closely and you’ll see the beautiful women and the fine liquor too.
