See the truth inside fairy tales. The water is beautiful, the woman is beautiful. This is no ordinary pond, this is the protean, shapeshifting ocean. This isn’t some frivolous girl, all lipstick and trinkets, this is a woman.

You must know some stories of selkies, kelpies, naiads, mermaids or finfolk. You maybe heard legends of tempests and shipwrecks, perhaps you read transformation myths with stolen, half-hidden seal-skins.

The storytellers understood a simple truth behind the fantasy; a woman is ever-changing, mutable beauty, as is the sea.
