Mirror d’eau
Un ragazzo chiamato Bi

My thoughts are drawn
To a stone-flagged plaza on the Garonne
Of which I know nothing;
But there’s not single night in dreams
That I don’t travel there.

editorial note: poem shamelessly lifted from a waka by Ki no Tsurayuki, a 9th century poet and one of the Thirty-Six Immortals of Japanese poetry.
