Three silver spoons. If you were born with one in your mouth which one would it be?
Will you take the first — the twisting snail shell, a calcium crunch and a curl of salty air that adds a little extra flavour to your life.
Shall it be the second with its creeping ivy promise — raise it to your mouth and let it its bitter twine leave you tongue-tied.
Would you prefer the pebble — a cool nugget of textured rock to chew over your every thought?
Or would you shun the shell, leave the leaf, push away the pebble and use the smooth old wood to carve out your own way in life.
