starry-eyed optimist
There’s not much that can be added the this young girl’s smile. In time, those gaps in her teeth that will be filled with experience. Those starry-eyed shades will be put aside and the lemon yellow hat lie unforgotten at the back of a drawer.
She’ll grow up.
But though she’s all grown, if you stop to gaze into her eyes, you might catch a fleeting remnant of the starry eyes, even though the sunglasses, the gaps in her teeth and hat as yellow as the sun have long since disappeared.
