boy walks by
dotintime

The darkness is almost completely flat. There is a window with shutters, then only flat darkness.

Like a panel from a Hergé story when the lights suddenly go out and all that is left is a speech bubble with  a “woof, woof, woof” from Snowy*.

Then a boy walks by.

He wears a blue shirt, almost the same blue as Tin Tin sometimes wears. His hair is cut short and practical, in the style of a 1930’s boy reporter, and his ears are sunburned from days adrift in a lifeboat off the coast of Morocco. He examines a small object, perhaps a crab with golden claws.

Then he is gone, and you must remember that real life is not a comic book.

*Or a “waouh, waouh, waouh” from Milou, if you read it in the original.
