Carpe diem. Seize the day. Seize the bloody day, grab on to the day’s amazing shirt-tails and don’t let go. Let the moment carry you out of doldrums, out of self-pity, worries, aches and pains. You are alive, there are pictures to take, there are mountains to climb, and the view is amazing.
(Note: I was feeling crappy today, flu symptoms and kids birthday party looming. I was halfway through composing an email to Debra and Greg opting out of selecting a front page, then I saw this picture, those tiny delightful people silhouetted against that massive landscape, and it made me feel better.)
