The Barn 29.5

With this barn we offer you an Iron Photographer that is much more than a 3 simple elements – a building, in black and white, with some vignetting.

We give you a barn in a state of collapse. Part of a project* that started out with a scavenger hunt and continued through the weeks and years.

Dear reader, with this barn we give you a life-cycle, a demise and a study of the slow decay that — like it or not — happens to each and every one of us. Only we are not made of wood, and we can disguise our signs of age with clever tailoring and the services of a reliable hairdresser. Or we can choose to boldly show them off as symbols of a life well-lived.

This barn, ladies and gentlemen, has no choice, but we give it to you anyway, so that you can enjoy it forever. And while you do, think of the day when Kathy walks to the barn to take the next in the series and finds nothing but broken wood strewn on the ground.

*You really should check out the entire album of Kathy’s barn photos.
