Williams Lake

Sometimes I wish I was a cat…

Pay attention. Hey! Look at me, eyes on me, not on the human.  She is making coffee she is not making food. Where was I? Let me be clear here, I specifically wish I were cats like Angus or Fergus. Right, most cats are complete and utter scumspit, they dislike everyone, they dislike dogs, they dislike humans (but you’ve got to hand it to them they dislike humans in a brilliantly manipulative way, the humans never even suspect, poor humans) they dislike other cats. Except for Angus and Hamish, who are brothers and even if they might not like each other they’re civil, that makes them a pack, which means they are king cats. And today when I saw them Angus had a cone of shame, like mine you know, but cat-sized, and without duck tape, or rips, or drool dribbles. So as usual I tried to be friendly and he just gave me the stare, you know the cat stare, and walked away saying “This hat makes me look regal, on you it looks dumbass”.

And cats are really great at climbing trees. But dogs are optimists so as soon as this lampshade is off I’ll have another go at that tree climbing thing.
