Tell me please, what is the collective noun for socks?

Is it an doubleness, a duplicity, a scrumple or a squenge? You purchase them as a pair, but then inevitably one wanders off; a bickering of socks, a mediation, a separation a divorce.

Remember teenage socks, a stench, a crunch, a psycho-dust-bunny of socks. They will lurk for an eternity in underbed caverns of detritus.

But do not forget the good times, a cosiness of socks, a cuddlyflump, a cwtchiness, a perfect clean soft cotton-wooliness.

And rejoice with me at this absolute even-ness, thirty eight socks, delightfully draped, each beautifully matched, this is the picture of harmony. A harmony of socks.
