You can’t see this dog’s eyes. Doesn’t matter. You can see his heart.

You can always see a dog’s heart. It’s never hidden. Probably can’t be hidden. But even if it could, it would never occur to a dog to try.

You treat this dog — any dog — with the tiniest bit of warmth and affection, and it will love you. Love unqualified, unquestioned, unabashed, unapologetic, and possibly undeserved. It’s what a dog does.
