Zeroing in on the Bringer of Bread
Dead Betty

The ones they call mallard boys might look so pretty and swanky-pants but they are greedy, they’ll try to grab it all, watch yourself, because they’ll sneak up and peck your bottom if they get the idea that you’re holding out on them. Aim to drop bread in little balls on their backs and see them try to stretch to get it before another duck does.

The pigeons work hard for even the littlest crumbs. If pigeons were people they’d never smile. Make sure they get all they need, it’s not their fault that they can’t swim.

But watch the seagulls swoop and circle. The river goes a long way away, the seagulls might have seen even further. Throw it to them, even the greediest yawping gulls will teach us about flight and freedom.
