Spirit World

Sometimes it’s necessary to assume the scarecrow’s roost. To look out on the limited world from a single fixed position. Not from a great height, but slightly elevated. Just high enough to extend your view, to shift your perspective, to see above the heads of those around you. To see what’s out there, what’s gone by. What’s coming.

Nevermind the crows. Sometimes you find yourself in a world of dry grass, and it seems everybody is carrying matches.
