In my experience, there is always a moment of absolute carefreeness at the beach. For some, it’s taking your shoes off and paddling in the shallow waters of incoming tides. Others enjoy a dip, immersing themselves and letting the waves wash over them as they float out a few yards.

But this is a moment of theatre, shared among friends as a perfect sunset played out behind them. Is it and impression of a bird landing or a balletic sand dance? It doesn’t much matter. Listen hard and you might yet hear the echoes of laughter that lingered on after our photographer committed this joyful scene to the immortality of a roll of film.
