Locked Horns
unlearn_art
I’m ok with bulls. I know where I am with bulls. I tread softly, keep my distance and pretend not to be scared.
But the valve getter is another thing. I have no experience with valve getters, so I scavenged a few facts from the internet about the shiny little gizmo:
There is barium involved and an explosion that takes place in the valve.
Getters can be square or D or O. They can be Large O, or small o (so small that capitalization is not required).
Clear? I thought as much.
So don’t get me started on the triode pentode debate:
Some say the triode gives an amp an organic sound, while the pentode sounds stiff.
Others will argue that triode is milky and pentode is blissful eggnog.
I’m pretty sure the burro has an opinion on whether pentode is like a partygoer too drunk to stand upright, or if it’s simply being bluesy.
You ask if you like. Me, I’m treading softly, keeping my distance and making for my escape route by the window.

which Alan has interpreted with beauty wit and intrigue)
