I once explained the Harris shutter effect to children. I explained about the colour layers and showed them some examples, enthused and burbled about the coolness.
Those who liked science classes listened, but not every kid does. I wish I’d used these magic words… Things that move between exposures appear as colored ghosts.
Surely any kid will listen to the stories of the magenta, cyan and yellow ghosts.
