Our friend Debra has been making photos of this barn for quite a long while, and I do hope you’ll visit her stream and browse some of them. It’s a personal ritual, her own expression of the passage of time and seasons.
She was compelled to visit again late last week, after a vote whose effects shook part of the world and will do so for some time to come. Even as turmoil and uncertainty ripple on, as Debra writes, the sheep graze on and the grass keeps on growing. It’s comforting to see this friendly old barn again, steadfast in its purpose. I hope Debra felt comforted too, standing there in the breeze.
