trench leftovers
Fabrizio Spagnolo
Over a year ago, on the 5th of July, it happened. Under an overcast Spanish sky everything slipped into place. You have to remember the earth was slightly different then. The crazy voices had been heard, but not quite as loudly, and not for so long.
After two failed attempts to resupply the international space station; the Progress M-28M ship, which took off from Kazakhstan, delivered 2.5 metric tons of fuel, oxygen, water, food, and other supplies. If we heard about it, then there was a moment when we forgot the other news about wars, and refugees, poverty and chaos, and in that moment we thought about all it took to make a cargo ship deliver supplies to the I.S.S.
Then under an overcast sky in Spain, Fabrizio Spagnolo watched a cyclist skid to a halt, and as everything slipped into place he took this picture.
