Perhaps you’re familiar with the Danish word hygge (pronounced HUE-gah), which translates roughly to coziness, but it’s really more active than descriptive. It’s an art of cultivating and enjoying pleasure in everyday living, as an investment in well-being.
This scene captures quite a bit of what I consider hygge: the company of a sweet friend, the promise of a warm nap, and a bright, sunny color with the power to heal what ails us, at least for a little while. I can think of no better way to spend a little time.
