Well, now. Here’s a guy who knows his way around a hamburger. Here’s a guy who knows how to take a break. He’s got his work boots on, sure, because he’s been working. But he’s got his shirt off, because the sun just feels that good. He’s got a cold brew in his hand and he’s kicking back and right now — for the next fifteen or twenty minutes — he’s the King of the Whole Damned Universe.
It won’t last. It never does. In a bit he’ll finish that beer, he’ll put his shirt back on, he’ll remind himself of the promise he made to lose a few pounds, and he’ll forgive himself for delaying that promise, then he’ll go back to work. He knows that. He’s okay with it.
But right now — right now — he’s as fine as a working man can be. Gather ye rosebuds, pal. Gather the hell out of them while ye may.
