Blue Adjustment Happening

SMH. I am not good at remembering acronyms. This is a more of a failing in the era of Instagram and Twitter than it might have been in other times, but recently SMH has stuck in my memory. Perhaps because when I first checked the meaning it seemed such a petty visual to be honoured with it’s own acronym; shake my head. The endless cycle of bad news SMH, the sense of individual helplessness SMH, the slow and steady collapse of the planet SMH. I even imagined it in this picture, a cop adjusts the cap on his head, a cop who shook his head so hard that it vanished into the shadows. SMH used to seem petty and now it seems as if we might all need to shake ourselves apart.
