Sharmini Tharmaratnam
Cris DD

  1. Sharmini Tharmaratnam is a dancer. You can tell just by looking at her.
  2. According to Chinese myth there is a red thread of fate which the gods tie around the ankles of those destined to find one another. In Japanese and Korean culture the red cord is tied to little fingers. I don’t know of a myth which connects destiny’s threads to ears.
  3. Pointing is a dying gesture. I cannot remember the last time I saw a good point. Mother used to say that it’s rude to point. Today we stab at screens to send data, and the casual point has become outdated. Today superheroes cause so much chaos that bystanders run for cover instead of pointing at the caped flying guy.
  4. Point has taken on new meaning during my lifetime. Now to be on point means to be perfect.
  5. Dancers point perfectly.
