Dona nobis pacem. Grant us peace.
It’s not too much to ask for. We’re not asking for a new car or a bigger television. We’re not looking for victory or triumph. We don’t need glory, we’ve no use for fame, we’re not interested in celebrity. We don’t expect extravagance or indulgence. We’re not asking for strength or patience or even comfort.
Just peace. Just for a while. A little calm. A bit of quiet. Stillness.
