Prowler. This is how Sweet Jody Miller describes this cat, padding down the street with such grace and confidence and purpose. Prowler…to which, in reply, I would quote from Kai Lung’s Golden Hours and the Story of Hien and the Chief Examiner.

“Your insight is clear and unbiassed,” said the gracious Sovereign. “But however entrancing it is to wander unchecked through a garden of bright images, are we not enticing your mind from another subject of almost equal importance?”

Prowler, to be certain. But of equal importance…who or what is being prowled?
