There is a theory that trypophobia (the fear of clustered bubbles or holes) is a response to a deeply suppressed reaction to ectoparasites and skin-transmitted pathogens. If you suffer trypophobia then you’ll never know joy from seeing the froth topping a pint of beer nor will you relax in puffy clouds of bath foam. There is another theory that the ectoparasites will doubtlessly outlive us all, so we should just enjoy all the bubbles before they burst.
