We never thought something like this could happen here.
We’re good people, good neighbors. We mow our lawns, we shovel our sidewalks, we cut coupons, we go to church and salute the flag and pay our bills on time. We’re good people, we really are. This sort of thing isn’t supposed to happen. Not here. Not to us.
You hear people say, “If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere.” I guess maybe they’re right?
