Don’t ask… I’m not going to let on where it is.
You’ll never get to feel the dappled sunlight on your skin, or wiggle your toes in the warm water lapping at your feet. You won’t see it ‘Grammed. It won’t feature in the latest Tiktok.
And if you found it by chance, you might not even give it a second glance. You might despair at the lack of amenities. You might not appreciate the silence, punctured only by the flap of bird wings as it hits the water at full speed, slamming on its webbed-foot brakes.
That it has been overlooked for so many years is actually part of its charm. You might never find it but you won’t miss it because you’ll never know what’s there is to miss.
