Blog photos are intended to be representative of our member’s most notable efforts, of course, but selecting them is not merely a matter of picking the “best” one.

Lordy, we wouldn’t presume to try and calculate what “best” means.

Since our daily photography blog contains a narrative written by a staff writer, blog photos must lend themselves well to a narrative accompaniment. A writer must find something to say or find it inspiring in some way. Truly, there is no magic formula and we might as well pick a perfectly focused empty chair as a completely abstract whatchamacallit.

No magic formula, sorry.
