Bio

D.June was born and raised in a little town by the North Sea in Germany. Since early childhood, she had an interest for the visual arts as well as music, dreamed often of becoming a radio personality, flight attendant or businesswoman. As a young woman, she had her own radio show, a unique format that combined music, and entertainment news in German as well the American language.

While still in school, she met the love of her life, RJ, an american soldier stationed in North Germany in the early 90s. No matter how much D.June tried to resist his charms, in the end, she went out on a date with him and the have been in love ever since.

After RJ's departure from Germany, both lived in a long-distance relationship for several years. D.June had to continue her studies and RJ was sent to various duty stations, amongst them Cuba and Egypt. The distance only strengthened their love, both visited each other every 6 months. Eventually, RJ asked her to follow him to the United states and start a family.

In 1997, they tied the knot in Maryland. They lived in New Jersey and Maryland for the next 12 years, out of their union, 3 beautiful children were born. Together as a family and as a couple, they travel the USA, Caribbean and Europe.

The family has a strong foundation and diverse background, African-american & German. All members speak several languages, D.June and RJ consider themselves "lifelong learners" and pass this passion on to their children.

During her time in the USA, D.June worked as a blog writer for the music and fashion industry and interviewed artists, Further she worked in marketing and last but not least for Delta Airlines as flight attendant. She co-founded Model America, an urban promotion and model agency. At age 30, she has accomplished her childhood goals she had set for her own future / career. In Germany, she is able to do what she loves to do - for living and continues to contribute to the fashion, entertainment and the music industries as independent agent / personal assistant & simultaneous translator.

During trials and tribulations, it has been her faith and commitment to family and marriage, that allowed the family to conquer difficult times. Together, the family was en route from Germany to the USA on September 11th 2001.
They were all together, in one of the last airplanes in the air, on the way to Washington DC, just to be rerouted to Canada. This experience had a deep spiritual impact on D.June because the town of Moncton, Canada came together, joined forces with the Red Cross and regular citizens opened up their homes to stranded passengers, unable to return to the USA. After this experience, D.June wanted to become a flight-attendant and in 2008, she fulfilled this dream by joining Delta Airlines.

During the financial crisis, the decision was made to return to Germany. This turned out to be a blessing for the family, as the children were able to reconnect with their family overseas and are allowed to study at reputable schools in Germany. D.June and RJ own a business. Together they plan to travel to every country within the European union, before returning to America / the Caribbean.
D.June tries to evoke emotions when taking photographs. Her passion remains landscape photography, yet she tries out various techniques during her travels and pretty much anywhere where she goes, because her camera is always in her purse, ready to capture "the perfect moment"
