Greg Fallis

Bio

Greg Fallis is a writer whose work primarily revolves around crime and criminality; he's published four books (one detective novel and three nonfiction works on crime and investigation) and several short stories, a number of which have been anthologized.

He became seriously interested in photography about a quarter of a century ago when he purchased a Canon A1 SLR. As a private detective specializing in criminal defense, his photographic hobby turned into a routine facet of his work. Years of photographing crime scenes soured the pleasures of photography, and Greg eventually put away his camera.

The advent of digital technology sparked his return to photography. With the fresh eye of the well rested, he mines the quotidian with his camera for not just the photograph, but the one with a story.

Testimonial

It takes about ten seconds on Greg's stream to know he's both a social scientist and a storyteller. Here are artful studies into connections and compositions, conversation sparks that spill from the camera and land in the communal hub with the resonant half-caption, "What do you think?"
