Bio

I have been a taking photographs for over 25 years. I even have several pieces of paper that say I passed courses in photography, one of them a degree at the University of Westminster, London UK. The one thing I learnt before I graduated that the courses meant nothing, the only thing that mattered was getting out there and taking the pictures. I also realised that everyone else was better than me. This helped; it meant that there was no ego to get in the way.

The vast majority of my pictures over the years have included my family in one way or another. I even wrote my whole thesis around the role of the Father in the creation of the family image. (One thing I am really pleased to see here at Flickr is the age of the technonut Dad being in charge of the camera is well and truly over!)

Flickr has really re-ignited my passion for taking photographs, and the Utata group is a huge part of that enthusiasm. I love looking at the images taken by the other members, and love it when they look and hopefully comment on mine. I take criticism well, so get going...
