Is this going to be a white elephant for Belfast?
I'm uncertain as to the viability of this project. With £770,000 already spent by the govt on this it's now down to the charitable trust, the Nomadic Preservation Society, to find between £2m-£5m to renovate the Nomadic.
Seeing as Belfast Lough is a commercial shipping lane i find it difficult to envisage the Nomadic cruising around the lough on day trips. Go for the cheap option i say and bring it up to a good enough spec and allow visitors to come on board to absorb the history and ambiance of what it would have been like to have been aboard at the time of the Titanic
