I asked this turkish gentleman, whom I encountered in the streets of Willebroek (a city in Belgium with a thriving turkish community) if I could take his photo and he immediatly agreed. Now, I can hear you say : "No big deal." But, I'm always a little appriencive when trying to photograph muslims because I know for a fact that taking images, for example photos of woman, children etc, is not done.I think it has something to do with their religion, Islam. This man invited me and a local friend whom he met in the street while I was taking pictures of him, for a cofffee. This man is called sharif.Like Omar sharif ;-)
A very sympatetic man.I salute thee Sharif.
