Fireworks Negative (white)

David Lindes

This is a somewhat-manipulated (slight crop; slight boost to contrast and saturation; levels adjustments) direct scan of a slide... which happens to be negative. I had the roll of Kodak Ektochrome E100 slide film developed in process C-41, giving me this negative... but I still had them (Ivey) mount it in a slide mount. I'm thinking I'd like to see this (or another from the roll -- more may well come here soon, too*) projected... What say ye?

* - I'm going to try to start my "daily upload" thing again. I've been too idle on flickr lately for my tastes, and so I'm re-starting the one-a-day thing. It may not last as long as last time, and it probably won't last forever, but... here's the start of it for a little while, at least.

(note: re-uploaded (versus previous image -- relegated to friends and family only, you may ask if you're not on those lists and curious to see it) with the curves adjustments... didn't realize until I saw it against white how much color there was in the substrate... this may not be the correct way to fix this, though (some of that color is still visible in the lower right portion of the sky)... we'll see how I handle it for future images.)
