light painting

Kris Adams

The image on the left is a triple exposure, first with a red background, then with a green background, and finally with a blue background. It looks blury because the lights are in six groups of three, with red in the left of each group and blue in the right of each group. The slight shift in the location of background light caused the image to look blury.

The image on the right is a single exposure with all three colors in the background. I don't know why these colors didn't mix properly. For that answer, let's turn to my favorite lighting expert, Katy.

Katy?

P.S. Thanks to the Larke sisters for helping out (Emily as the model and Megan working the lights).
