I took this for a Utata project .... in the style of Josef Sudek. It's very informative to try to imitate someone like Sudek. The first thing you notice in his images, of course, is the light that infuses everything and seems to be the main subject. But it's not ordinary contrasty light for him. His light shimmers and wavers and distorts. His light provides mystery, not mere illumination. I could find that marvelous light in John's barn. Making it behave was quite another thing. This was the closest I've come to portraying Sudek's llght.
