A snowy stroll in one of my favourite places, the Outwood section of the Irwell Sculpture Trail.

I love walking in snowy woods. Everything looks so different, it's so easy to get lost even in an area you know well. The sounds are different, some noises are muffled, some sharper. Even the footing is unsure. You never know if you'll find firm ground or sink up to your knees. Every step is an adventure.
