Concord River

Liz West

When I first began using a digital SLR, I bemoaned the fact that I often had the "wrong" lens on my camera, meaning not the obvious lens for a particular shot. As time went on, I realized that rather than lugging around several lenses, I would do better to select shots that suited the lens that was on the camera. This image is an example--I had a 100 mm lens on the camera, which I usually use for close-ups. However, the river looked really smooth and pretty so I wanted to take a shot.
