"Even today, she refuses to buy cucumbers"

Brenda Anderson

I was reading the NY Times today and saw an article about kids' picky eating habits; turns out it's 78% genetic. I must blame my husband when our kids won't eat their vegetables.

Anyway, I laughed out loud when I read the line "Even today, she refuses to buy cucumbers." Nothing personal, but that just struck me as very funny.... not so much the meaning, but just the combination of those words into a sentence. So I had to open my fridge and take some cucumber shots.

For the record, cucumbers are pretty much the only fruit/veg that my entire family will eat. :)
