sleigh ride in a walnut shell

This little walnut shell sleigh was made by my mother 20 years ago when she came for a Christmas visit. She sat with us to make tree decorations. She was nostalgic about Christmas on the Saskatchewan prairies, when her father harnessed his team of prize work horses and they jingled across the snow under a moonlit sky, visiting family and friends.
