two hats

Liz West

This morning, snow was falling at a rapid clip but the weather wasn't too cold, so I decided to go out into the snow with my camera. I wore a brimmed felt hat, which would keep snow out of my glasses, but it left my ears exposed. So I jammed on a thin watch cap, which covered my ears. Then I put the other over it. This may be one of the blessings--or handicaps--of living alone. No one taps you on the shoulder to say, "You know, you look a little weird wearing two hats." So I hurried outside, shot my pictures, came back inside and thought, "You know, I look a little weird wearing two hats. Luckily, Utata has a headgear project. Perfect!"
