Our new weekend project brings us to a very simple and common object. It’s something most of us see every day but probably just walk by it without notice…a fire hydrant. Fire hydrants keep our houses safe. They give urban kids something to play and cool off in on a hot summer day, as well as often substituting as a convenient dog urinal for man’s best friend. They also can look pretty cool as the subject of a photograph. So kids, for the next two weeks your weekend project assignment is to create an artistic photograph containing a fire hydrant.
