Through the glass, darkly 97/365

Sezgin Ismail

Woodlands (somewhere between Portsmouth and Clapham Junction) seen through the train window on my way back to Waterloo.

There are no direct trains from the North West to Portsmouth, so I had to take a train to London Euston, go on the underground to Waterloo to board the main line train to Portsmouth. The trip back from Euston was fraught with problems because Virgin Trains cancelled the service to Hollyhead. With no warning, explanation or apology. I wonder if they have a target for random train cancellations.
