Writing notes about being sorry, driving out of town too drunk to see, believing in the day I would be happy, I miss who I used to be. I miss the time when life was so brand new to me, I could barely keep anything inside. I miss the time that I could never lie to you, I'd never have anything to hide. If I were me, way back when, I'd pray to God to get you back again, and I'd take it real slow with my favorite pen, I'd write: I'd never do anything to hurt you.
