pizza crime context

I am a girl in love with words. When I was in Venice for those amazingly brief yet incredibly packed four months, I found all kinds of interesting word combination graffiti in the city. My favorite, by far, was the three stickers on the side of the San Silvestro vaporetto stop, that said "Pizza Crime Context" which makes no sense, really, but I loved it. Every time I'd stop at San Silvestro, I'd mumble "Pizza! Crime! Context!" because it's like a little poem. Pizza Crime Context pizzacrimecontext Pizza... crime... context. I love the shape of those words together, and whoever put those stickers together on the outside of the San Silvestro vaporetto stop, well, I love that person too. Whoever it is, I'm certain, is my kinda person.

There were more of these random phrases on stickers around the city, one of which was on a trash can on Viale Garibaldi, which I walked down nearly every day, though I can't remember what it said. But Pizza Crime Context: years later, it is still one of my all-time favorite combinations of words.

I wonder if it's still there...
