the bag is one of those large rectangular zipped woven plastic bags with fabric handles and a company logo on one side and url on the other that you pick up at trade fairs. On top of it is the Lyle's Black Treacle tin I use to keep pencils, pens and other things I find lying around. The design of the tin is the same as when I was a child; we put Golden Syrup (green tin) on our porridge; my mother used the black treacle for gingerbread. Things that have changed are the metric measurement instead of Imperial - I am always slightly amused to see how exact (454 g!) the conversions are - and of course the bar code and the Nutrition Information on the back of the tin.
